Kristy and her 6 year old son were able to move into their own place after escaping homelessness.  They had never known what it felt like to have a village.

When we received the need, they were living with her mom in a 1 bedroom apartment, sleeping on air mattresses on the living room floor.  Our partners Families Forward, were able to furnish most of the house except a washing machine, dryer and couch. Kristy’s son had never had his own bedroom before and was telling one of his teachers at school all about his new house the week they moved in! Kristy said she had never had a village before… so DMP wanted to change that.

Wayfair couch = $320 Stackable washer/dryer from Home Depot Pro (we’re getting the contractor price through Restore Global) = $989
