Kim and her 9 year old son have been living in a hotel since this summer. She has been working long hours at Panera to just get by.  Having reliable transportation is vital for Kim to be able to maintain employment and work towards her goal of starting a savings account.

She has been concerned about her vehicle, her brakes are in extremely poor condition, her front axles need to be replaced, and her tires are completely worn down and slick.  DMP Steps in…

She finally just got into stable housing two weeks ago, which has been a huge relief for her and her son. She has been attending our monthly Educational workshops and working closing with her Liaison. Together, she and her Liaison set the goal for Kim to set up a savings account through her bank and to make biweekly deposits into it from her paychecks. Kim uses her car to get to and from work as well as to drive deliveries for Panera.
